SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

               David Metzler


David is a Kentucky native, born and raised in Louisville. David has been an agent with New York Life for 15 years, a partner for 3 years and became the Sales Development Manager in 2006. David has a daughter, Chase and a son, Brooks.

The Sales Development Manager’s role focuses on sales support, skill development, sales promotion, supporting the recruiting process and providing support for IPS Staff in product training. David’s main focus is on Agent development, improving agent retention, and increasing life sales within the General Office.


AGENCY STANDARDS CONSULTANT

     Regina Caudill, FLMI, ACS, AIAA

Gina is a native of St. Albans, West Virginia and now lives in Lexington. Gina joined the company in 1985 in the West Virginia Office and held various administrative positions. She was promoted/transferred to the Lexington General Office in 1995 as the Office Manager, and in 2001, became the Agency Standards Consultant in the Kentucky General Office. She is married to Andrew and has one son, Philip, one daughter, Grace, and a stepson, Dalton.

The Agency Standards Consultant has the responsibility of overseeing all issues dealing with compliance to company rules and guidelines, as well as FINRA regulations. Working with the Managing Partner, she monitors agent activity to see that the rules are adhered to, as well as conducting the annual Supervisory Inspection and Interview.


DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

            Anthony M. Mellens, CLU, ChFC, FLMI


Tony comes to us from Chicago. He has been with the company since 1971 when he started as an agent. Subsequently worked as Office Manager in Oak Brook, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana. He was transferred to the Kentucky General Office in 1978. He is married to Anita and has one son, Michael.

As Administrative Manager, Tony works to ensure a high level of quality service to our agents, agency personnel, and our policyholders. He actively participates as an integral part of the Management Team. Working with the Managing Partner, he actively provides input at planning meetings, and helps in the development of other members of the team. Along with the Managing Partner, he has the responsibility to see that company rules and procedures are followed, and that expenses are controlled and kept within budget. He acts as a sounding board for the agents and counsels them solving business related problems


PARTNERS

                 Doug Vowels

Doug graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a major in Psychology and minors in Busness and Chemistry.  In 2001, Doug began his career with new York Life as an agent and registered representative.  He qualified for Executive Council in his first full year of joining New York Life and did so 3 years after his first year.  Doug also qualified for the prestigious Life Foundation Award in his first contract year as well as leading the Kentucky G. O. in life case rate and winning the new organization Annuity champion as well.  Doug joined the management team as Partner in March of 2008.  Doug is a native of Kentucky and resides in Lexington, KY.

 

                Paul Hulsman


Paul is a native of Louisville, KY. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisville and his MBA from Bellarmine University. He entered the financial services industry in 1987 as an intern for a local brokerage firm. Paul’s career focus has been in management and recruiting. He joined New York Life in 2008 as a Partner. Paul married his wife Donna in 1988 and they have three children, Benjamin, Daniel and Leah.
